Migration in Germany
Germany has been a long-standing popular destination for immigrants as they are one of the wealthiest countries in the European Union and their economy has been prosperous. This ensures that Germany has a steady increase in population overall.
As Germany currently remains a popular destination for immigrants, being one of the more wealthier countries in Europe, the government has resorted to tightening immigration policies to regulate the heavy influx of migrants, as this could bring about social unrests or destabilize the country’s overall economy. They also threaten the political control of the ruling party as more and more migrants are making up the government. This would then lead to the formation of anti-immigrant organizations which lead demonstrations and riots, causing even more disorder in the country. |
